Our story

Incorporated in 1984, Belmont Junior Soccer Club (BJSC) was originally known as Kewdale Junior Soccer Club before changing its name.

BJSC is a friendly, diverse, family-oriented soccer club for children from 4 to 18 years old, with more than 45 nationalities represented. Our multicultural approach has resulted in a loyal, diverse community of parents, children and supporters.

With a history spanning over 30 years, we are a local fixture in the Belmont community. We are small but strong, and our teams regularly make it to the grand finals each year.

In 2016, Football West chose BJSC to be part of the Socceroos World Cup qualifier against Iraq due to its support of their MiniRoos Kick-off initiative.

In 2017, the BJSC clubrooms received a $1.6m refurbishment, with new change rooms, storage areas, toilets, canteen, improved lighting, a new playground and more. Funding came from the City of Belmont, State and Federal governments and Lotterywest.

The Club’s goal is to provide inclusive opportunities to every child who enjoys playing soccer - regardless of race, gender or religion - and to help create a healthy, more connected community.

That’s why the BJSC motto is to play with HEART: Humility, Effort, Attitude, Respect & Teamwork!
