Volunteering & Parent Responsibility
As with all volunteer junior sporting clubs, there is an element of parent responsibility in order to help the Club run smoothly. At BJSC, we ask the following:
As part of registration, the Club also reserves the right to take photographs of your child during games and training for promotional purposes only. If you do not wish your child to be photographed, please let the Club know.
If you have chosen the Volunteer Package (VP) when registering your child:
As part of your registration to Belmont Junior Soccer Club, ticking the Volunteer Package option not only provides you with a great financial discount, but confirms your commitment to help out in a volunteer capacity during the year.
It may be helping out with nets, canteen, wind-up, team photos management, general game day management, assisting coaches and team managers, line marking or pitch set-up during the soccer season. Don’t worry, it won’t involve a huge commitment of your time.
In the event that parents who have selected the Volunteer Package are not volunteering, the Club reserves the right to invoice those parents for the difference in the two packages.
If you have chosen the Non-Volunteer Package (NVP) when registering your child:
As part of your registration to Belmont Junior Soccer Club, ticking the Non- Volunteer Package option confirms you will not receive a financial discount and that you are under no obligation to volunteer your time during the year.
If you change your mind and wish to volunteer during the soccer season, please bring this to the attention of your team coach and the Club will reimburse you the difference.
Regardless of the registration package chosen, parents are expected to attend their children’s games and take them to training days for player safety, team morale and insurance purposes.
